Computer Sensor on Contact Lens is now a Huge Probability
Imagine computer images on display right through your very eyes. It’s going to be a lot more than Iron Man’s view of Jarvis in a sense. The even better news – Scientists are currently working on it.
Research experts from the University of South Australia, Future Industries Institute (FII) is now working on a contact lens can also serve as a computer screen. Scientists utilized the so called ‘polymer film coating’ to make it possible. Specialists see this innovation as breakthrough. They also anticipate it to not just become very useful electronic device for public consumption, but also a major craze for technology enthusiasts as well.
The prototype of this newest advancement is said to have an ultra-thin coating of the polymer film that can regulate electricity. The contact lens will also be incorporated with electronic circuits which is guaranteed to be safe for humans to wear it.
FII Associate Professor Drew Evans named it as a ‘game changer’ and said, “Rather than having something like a pair of glasses that’s acting like a computer, you can actually generate images directly on your contact lens.”
There have been confirmations that the project is now in working progress and that the Institute already tied up with a top contact lens producer in the United Kingdom in order to work on the prototype. In just a year or so, the experts might release a very promising model of this exciting innovation. And if this happens, the occurrence of creating minuscule electronic circuits for chips and sensors will certainly be enormous.
The researchers aim that this advancement will be ultimately beneficial for medical purposes, specifically as sensors to track health issues and transcripts.
With this technology taking place, it wouldn’t be too long from now to see computer monitors and televisions in contact lens forms. Indeed, innovation makes things possible.
